I (completely forgot that I) tried this forever ago...and failed miserably. Then tried again...and failed miserably. Now, I think I might just have found something that irritates me enough to motivate me to blog and keep up with it;
I seriously hate Caillou. I know I'm not the only one, there are articles upon articles, plus FB posts, complaints from other moms...I don't know even ONE parent who likes this show. It's awful. Have you ever seen it? If you're a parent, and you've mistakenly let your child watch it, you've undoubtedly seen horrid results; your child is suddenly whiny, obnoxious, and generally acting like a tiny little asshole. Caillou is a whiny, greedy, self-centered little shit, and talks to his parents in such a way that would've gotten my cheeks reddened (both sets!), and my toys taken away for at least a week.
...also, why doesn't he have any hair?! Seriously, where is it?? ALL the other characters have hair...why is this 4 year old child bald? Don't even tell me it's a fashion statement, his frumpy mommy and dipshit daddy wouldn't know fashion if it fell out of the sky and hit them on the head. The only things I can think of; he has alopecia or leukemia. The leukemia thing explains SOOOOO much...maybe that's why his mommy and daddy (and everyone else) wear the same clothes every day, and why he's allowed to get away with his horrid behavior.
Max and Ruby? Don't get me started. Max clearly has some kind of mental defect or disability, and Ruby's just a bossy bitch. Where are their parents?! I'm one of the many parents who subscribes to the thought that Max probably killed them and buried them in the basement...or maybe he saw Ruby kill them, and that's why he's such a fucktard. Either way...the lack of adult supervision in the show is disturbing, given the fact that Max and Ruby are often wandering around town all by themselves. What the hell?! I wouldn't let a couple of kids under 10 go roaming around without a parent, and if I did, I'd be thrown in jail for child endangerment!
Dora and Diego irritate the crap out of me too. They're just...so...ridiculous. We'd probably be here for hours if I went into all the issues I have with these two shows, and frankly, you can probably just Google and find hilarious memes that would get my thoughts across far better than my little blog.
If this is your first time coming across me, I promise I'm not ALL piss and vinegar, there are lots of things (even kids shows) that I like...but really, isn't it more amusing to read rants about the same things that piss you off? That's what I thought, too. Throughout the potential life of this blog, I'm sure I'll end up sharing hilarious, heartwarming, tear-jerker type things/stories too, but for now, let's just stick with what I do best; getting annoyed at some of the stupidity or frustrations that we parents are faced with, and then ranting about it in a brash, yet hopefully relatable and entertaining manner.
:)
